Jaime Wong, Catherine Gunn, Laura Ozolins, Sekita Grant and Fallon Koon won singles matches to lead 18th-ranked Georgia Tech to a 5-1 victory over Virginia in Atlantic Coast Conference women’s tennis Saturday at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.

With the win, Tech improved to 12-6 overall, 2-3 in the ACC, while Virginia falls to 10-4 overall, 1-1 ACC.

Wong defeated Jennifer Tuchband at No. 2 singles, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1, while Gunn downed Amy O’Donnell, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. Ozolins knocked off Dora Bechliwanis at the No. 4 flight, 7-5, 6-1, Grant defeated Marta Bechliwanis, 4-6, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 5, and Koon recorded a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Christine Kim at No. 6 singles.

The Cavaliers’ lone win was at the No. 1 flight, where Henrietta Willliams defeated Mysti Morris, 6-2, 6-4.
