PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Three Yellow Jackets finished in double-figures led by 17 points from Kam Craft, but Georgia Tech could not take away the exhibition victory, falling at Providence, 101-73, in its final preseason contest ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Seven different Yellow Jackets contributed offensively in the opening half as Tech kept it close in the early going. Following back-to-back three-pointers from Courtland Muldrew and Craft, Tech setup a 10-11 tally. The teams would trade baskets back-and-forth until a three-point play from the Friars opened a 30-19 edge with 6:22 to play. Providence closed the first half with an 8-0 spurt to take a 43-28 lead into intermission.
Craft scored 14 of his points in the second half, fueled by a trio of three-pointers in a two-minute span midway through the final 20 minutes. Despite Craft’s offensive effort, Providence maintained a comfortable lead to the final buzzer. Muldrew added seven points in the second half and finished with 10. Colby Garland completed Tech’s trio in double-figures, adding 12 points. Overall, Tech shot 44.4 percent (28-63) from the field and hit 11 three-pointers.
Georgia Tech concluded its competitive preseason slate on Saturday and officially tips off the 2026-27 season with an eight-game homestand beginning Tuesday, Nov. 3 welcoming Hampton at 7 p.m. to McCamish Pavilion.
