The Jackets will face off against conference foe Florida State in the opening session at 8:30 a.m. with South Carolina and Minnesota squaring off in the adjacent pool. The second wave features Auburn versus George Washington along with Kentucky versus Penn State at 11:30 a.m. The winners and losers of each matchup face another in the evening session to close out the day.
Saturday will open with third and seventh-place meets at 9 a.m. before the first and fifth-place battles start at 4 p.m. to close out the weekend.
Jackets opened the dual meet season with wins over Emory, 206-90 for the men and 192-105 for the women. Max Fowler headlined a record-breaking day on the boards with a 419.18 session score in the 1-meter to break his own school record as Lizzie Powley, Elijah Klier, and Betsy Parker all setting top-10 marks. Fowler and Powley were named the ACC Divers of the Week, Fowler claiming his 10th career weekly honor.
Freshman Kerem İlyem had a strong debut, sweeping both the 100 and 200 breast races and notching a top-10 program time in the 200 breast event. His time of 1:57.45 makes him the 10th-fastest Tech swimmer in the discipline in only his first collegiate swim. Five Tech newcomers recorded multiple race wins against Emory.
Admission is free for all sessions across the weekend with parking available for fans in the Campus Recreation Center Parking deck attached to the facility.
