CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Entering her second season at Georgia Tech, junior guard Talayah Walker was named to the Preseason All-ACC team Tuesday.
The Odenton, Md. native is coming off a career year on The Flats, where she was named to the 2026 All-ACC First Team. She became the first player in program history to tally three 30-point games in a single season and was the first Jacket since 1995 to record back-to-back 30-point games.
Walker was also the first Jacket to have back-to-back 30-point games in ACC play since 1993, and she posted the longest streak of 20-point games by a Jacket in the last 23 years. Her 576 points were the most by a Yellow Jacket since the 2015-16 campaign.
She was pivotal in year one of the Karen Blair era last season, where Tech earned 10 wins on home court including a 95-90 victory over No. 18 Notre Dame.
Walker becomes the first Yellow Jacket to be selected to the Preseason All-ACC team since Lorela Cubaj and Lotta-Maj Lahtinen ahead of the 2021-22 season, which ended in an NCAA Tournament berth for Tech.
The Yellow Jackets were picked 12th in the preseason poll. Tech finished 11th last season after being ranked 15th in the 2025-26 ACC predicted order of finish. Tech opens the 2026-27 campaign Monday, Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. against the Hofstra Pride on ACC Network Extra. Click HERE to purchase tickets.
