THE FLATS – Georgia Tech volleyball (5-0, 0-0 ACC) extended its early season win streak, advancing to 5-0 after downing Campbell (2-3, 0-0 CAA) 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

- Zoe Humphrey was a key piece in Tech’s execution on Friday with five kills, one assist, one dig, and 12 digs.
- Humphrey’s massive defensive display was well enough not only for a new career high in blocks, but set new Tech volleyball modern scoring era records for single match total blocks and single match block assists.
- Magda Kobaidze displayed exceptional offense on Saturday as she set a new career high for kills (16) and total attacks (42).
- Kobaidze’s 16 kills are the second most recorded by a Yellow Jacket so far this season behind Alida Bennour’s 17 kill performance against Loyola (8/30/26). Her 20.5 points on Friday tied Bennour’s team leading 20.5-point performance.
- Defensively, Kobaidze was just as remarkable with a career high six blocks.
- Heloise Soares recorded her first double-double of the season with a season high 14 digs and 41 assists. The Saturday performance marks the senior’s 13th career double-double.
- Bennour and Laura Bieleski recorded 11 kills respectively bringing Bennour to three double-digit kill matches this season and Bieleski to four.
- Bieleski’s 11 kills were paired with 10 digs for the sophomore’s second career double-double. Bennour’s 11 kills were also paired with 10 digs to give the freshman her first career double-double.
- Tech recorded its most blocks in a single match so far this season with two solo blocks and 32 block assists as well as its most digs (54) and its second most kills (49).
- Saturday’s 3-1 win not only extended Tech’s five match win streak, but advanced the Yellow Jackets to a spotless 5-0 record against Campbell and marked Tech’s first win over Campbell in three decades (1996).
- The afternoon match on The Flats marked the 60th consecutive sold out match at O’Keefe Gymnasium, a streak dating back to the 2021 season.

Set 1 (GT 25 – CU 16)
- Tech saw a solid start to the Saturday match with a .355 attack percentage and 13 kills in set one with Bennour leading the charge with four kills on six swings with Humphrey and Bieleski just behind her with three apiece. The Yellow Jackets established a six-point lead before the Camels called their first timeout. Through the remainder of the opening frame Tech kept Campbell at least five points distance and went on to outscore the Camels 10-8 for the 25-16 finish. Soares began the day with 10 assists and a .435 assist percentage. While leading the offense, Bennour also led the group in digs (6) with Soares (5) and Kaneko (4) contributing to Tech’s 18 set one digs.
Set 2 (GT 23 – CU 25)
- Despite matching Campbell in kills and having a higher attack percentage, Tech went on to drop set two after the Camels responded to the Yellow Jackets 23-21 lead by stacking four late points, two of which came from Tech attack errors. Kobaidze found her offensive rhythm in set two, recording six kills on 13 swings. Soares once again posted double-digit assists (12) to try to help Tech’s offense execute. Humphrey stacked another three block assists as Bennour and Bieleski teamed up for two each as well.
Set 3 (GT 25 – CU 11)
- Tech responded with could only be described as textbook defense, holding the Camels to a -.258 attack percentage with six blocks, five of which Humphrey had a hand in. Campbell got the jump on the Jackets in set three, until Tech was not only able to tie the set (4-4) but go on to establish an 8-5 lead. Despite trying to claw back and even bringing the set within two points (13-11), the Jackets would go on to deny the Camels another point in the set while scoring 12 uninterrupted points (25-11). Bennour continued to execute with another four kills on five swings. Soares saw her first set of the match with under 10 assists (6) but showed precision with a .600 assist percentage. Though she was quieter on offense in set three, Kobaidze proved her versatility with four blocks one of which was solo.
Set 4 (GT 25 – CU 17)
- The final set was nothing short of a dominant display across the board as Tech recorded 14 kills, eight of which belonged to Kobadize alone, along with five blocks led by Humphrey and Soares who both had a piece in three blocks. Set three began as a close set until Tech outscored Campbell 7-2 to establish a 12-7 lead. Tech maintained a smaller lead through the media timeout (15-12) before holding the Camels to only an additional five points while stacking another 10 points for the match win. Soares finished the day with a match high 13 assists on 26 attempts in set four along with a team leading six digs and three block assists alongside Humphrey who had another three as well.
