THE FLATS – Head coach Josh Pastner and returning senior starters Kyle Sturdivant and Rodney Howard are representing the Georgia Tech men’s basketball team Wednesday at the ACC Tipoff, the conference’s annual media day, in Charlotte, N.C. Fans can watch much of the activity live throughout the day on the ACC Network and ACC Network Extra.
Tech’s seventh-year head coach and student-athletes will participate in a variety of interviews, press conferences, photo shoots and other activities with local, regional and national television and radio outlets. They will appear together for a press conference at noon that will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra (click link to view), and will appear separately live on the ACC Network (Pastner at 12:45 p.m., Howard and Sturdivant at 1 p.m.).
ACC Network will be live on site from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sturdivant, a senior from Norcross, Ga., enters this third season on The Flats after transferring from Southern California prior to the 2020-21 season. The 6-3 point guard started all 32 games a year ago and is the Yellow Jackets’ top returning scorer at 7.6 points per game. Howard, a senior from Ypsilanti, Mich., likewise is in his third season at Tech after playing his freshman year at Georgia. The 6-11 center started 25 games last year, missing five with an ankle injury, and averaged 6.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
