THE FLATS – Recognizing their achievements in the classroom for the 2021-22 academic year, Georgia Tech placed 233 student-athletes on the 66th annual Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league office on Friday.
Track and field led the way for the Jackets with 67 student-athletes on the honor roll, including 12 who earned the honor for the fourth or fifth time. Swimming and diving added 48 honorees, while football earned 28, followed by baseball with 25.
Four Yellow Jackets received the honor for the fifth time in swimming and diving’s Austin Daniel, volleyball’s Mikaila Dowd, cross country/track and field’s Nicole Fegans and women’s basketball’s Kierra Fletcher. Additionally, 27 Yellow Jackets picked up the honor for the fourth time in their careers and a total of 56 student-athletes were named to the list for the third time in their collegiate careers.
The ACC Academic Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year. This marks the third consecutive year in which at least 5,500 ACC student-athletes have achieved Honor Roll status.
