Martin was back on the court for doubles play with Marcus McDaniel against Barki/Seggerman of Princeton. Martin/McDaniel would fall behind early, having their first serve broken in the first set. They fought back and pulled off a perfect game in their second serve before falling behind 2-4 in the first set. They would lose two deuce points to drop the first set 6-2.
The second set started with a determination with Martin/McDaniel breaking their opponents serve on another perfect game to take the early 2-0 lead.
The sides would trade serves before Martin/McDaniel would reel off four straight game wins including a perfect final game to securing the 6-1 set win.
Going into the tiebreaker set, Martin/McDaniel jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but would fall behind off of a 6-1 run by their opponents. The duo would tie it back at seven before ultimately falling 10-7.
Martin will play again in Atlanta at the Atlanta Open on July 26. Martin received a wildcard bid to the Atlanta Open and will play in the main draw.
