THE FLATS – The No. 13 doubles pairing in the nation of Andres Martin and Marcus McDaniel have been tabbed ACC Doubles Team of the Week, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Tuesday.
Martin/McDaniel come off an unbeaten weekend where they secured the highest ranked doubles victory in the ACC. The duo defeated No. 9 Fishback/Chrysostom of Virginia Tech 7-6(1) on the weekend. Martin/McDaniel also beat Goetz/Woodall on the weekend, 6-3.
This doubles pairing has already seen significant success during the fall schedule, winning the ITA Southeast Regionals and making it to the semifinals of the ITA Fall Nationals.
Georgia Tech men’s tennis has now earned three ACC weekly honors. The first two were for individual players and earned by Keshav Chopra and Martin.
The White and Gold continue ACC play against Clemson on Wednesday followed by Boston College on Friday.
