FG (8th in the ACC), 32.1 pct. on threes, 81.3 pct. Started and played every game except the ACC Tournament game against Boston College due to a broken right foot suffered in final regular-season game against North Carolina (played just three minutes) … Played both the 2 and the 3 spots, sometimes also handling the ball and initiating Tech’s offense … Had surgery to repair the break March 16 … Tops on the team with 93 career starts and led team in scoring with a career-best 13.6 ppg, and 14.0 ppg in ACC games … Finished the season with career bests in scoring average, rebound average (5.5), free throw percentage (76.3 pct.) and steals (1.3 pg) … Also achieved career highs this season for free throws made, attempted and percentage … Ranked 17th in the ACC in scoring, 24th in rebounding, seventh in free throw percentage … Scored in double digits in 11 straight games before being injured against North Carolina on March 3, the longest such stretch of his career (had done so in five straight games five times previously) … Over that stretch, Georges-Hunt averaged 16.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists. Started 30 of Tech’s 31 games and averaged 28.9 minutes (team-high 30.9 in ACC games), tops among Tech’s freshmen, including a career-high 35 at Duke… Led Tech in scoring at 10.8 ppg, fourth-best among freshmen in the ACC (9.7 ppg in ACC games) … He was the only freshman in the ACC to lead his team in scoring… Became the sixth Tech freshman to lead the team in scoring, and first since Javaris Crittenton and Thaddeus Young in 2006-07… Made the ACC’s All-Academic Team.
