ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s Aileen Morales made the Academic All-District III second team for softball, announced by CoSida on Thursday afternoon.
Morales, a sophomore second baseman from Columbus, Ga., earns Academic All-District honors for the first time. The 2005 ACC Rookie of the Year is batting .261 with 31 RBI, 49 runs scored and a Tech-leading 29 stolen bases.
The Yellow Jackets will take on No. 5 seed Florida State in game one of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament at 5:30 p.m.
