Miller Wins 10K Doubles Title in Spain

LLEIDA, Spain – Former Georgia Tech standout Kristi Miller teamed with Aleksandra Josifoska of Macedonia to win the doubles draw at the 10K event in Lleida, Spain Thursday.

Miller and Josifoska defeated the tournaments No. 1 seed Natasha Khan of Germany and Lucia Sainz-Pelegri of Spain, 6-4, 7-5, for the win. Miller earned her second doubles title since graduating from Tech in May.

In the singles draw, Miller reached the quarterfinals before falling to Julia Parasyuk of Russia, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.

Miller will next travel to Madrid, Spain for a 25K tournament. She is scheduled to open play in the qualifying round of the tournament Saturday. For more information, fans can visit www.itftennis.com/womens.
