THE FLATS – Georgia Tech’s Michael Devoe has been named to the 2022 All-Atlantic Coast Conference men’s basketball third team by a vote of ACC media and head coaches.
The 6-5 senior finished the 2021-22 regular season third in the conference in scoring at 18.0 points per game after leading the league through the season’s first 13 games. He also ranks fourth in three-point field goal percentage (36.7 pct.), seventh in three-point field goals made (2.30 per game), 15th in assists (3.23 per game), 13th in free throw percentage (.730) and fifth in minutes (34.88 per game).

He has scored 20 or more points on 10 other occasions and been a consistent force offensively, reaching double figures in 26 of the 30 games he has played.
Improved as an all-around player, Devoe also has established career bests for rebound average (5.0 per game), while leading the Jackets in assists and ranking second in steals (1.3 per game).

Devoe was named the Most Valuable Player of last year’s ACC Tournament, when Tech won its first title in 28 years, and earned honorable mention on All-ACC voting in 2020 and 2021.
The Yellow Jackets open play in the 69th annual New York Life Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament at 7 p.m. Tuesday against Louisville. The game will be televised on the ACC Network.
