Men's Tennis Travels to Austin, Texas to Face Longhorns

Atlanta – The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team heads to the Lone Star State to face No. 16 Texas on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. at the Pinick-Allison Tennis Center on the school’s campus in Austin, Texas.

The Longhorns lead the all-time series with the Jackets, 2-1, but, Tech won the last meeting on Feb. 16, 2003, 4-2.

Georgia Tech, ranked No. 40 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), is coming off a 4-3 win over cross-town rival Georgia State Wednesday.

Junior All-America, David North is Tech’s No. 1 singles player but was sidelined in two of the last three matches with a sore back. North is listed as day-to-day for Saturday’s meeting with Texas. North is currently ranked No. 69 by the ITA.

The Longhorns are 4-3 on the season.
