Men's Tennis Continues North Carolina Trip

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis will conclude road ACC play with two highly ranked opponents in No. 21 NC State and No. 7 Wake Forest on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

The Yellow Jackets come off a weekend where they dropped both matches, first against Duke then against UNC.

Tech is ranked No. 56 in the most recent ITA College Tennis Rankings. Andres Martin is ranked No. 79 in the nation as a singles player while he and doubles partner Marcus McDaniel make up the No. 8 doubles pairing in the nation.

The Wolfpack feature two ranked singles players in Robin Catry (67) and Rafael Iziquierdo Luque (124) as well as a pair of ranked doubles teams in Catry/Staeheli (39) and Rocens/Sambeek (41). The Demon Deacons roll out two ranked singles players in Eduardo Nava (43) and Filippo Moroni (69) in addition to a trio of ranked doubles pairs in Banthia/Schnaitter (27), Banthia/Lopez De Azcona (54) and Moroni/Nava (83).

The match against NC State is slated to start at 6 p.m. on Friday and the Wake Forest match is set to start at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
