Megesi captures ACC honors

ATLANTA — Women’s cross country team member Becky Megesi, a junior from Jonesboro, Ga., has won Atlantic Coast Conference female performer of the week honors, the league office announced Monday.

Megesi finished second in the Furman Invitational last Saturday in a time of 18:09 to help the Yellow Jackets win the team title. A week earlier, she won the Georgia Intercollegiate Championship title in a time of 17:56 and helped Tech win the team championship.

The team captain, Megesi has two second places and a first in the three meets she has run this season.

Tech is off until it competes in the Troy State Invitational on Oct. 24.
