McDavid Takes Second In Long Jump At Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Georgia Tech track and field freshman Myles McDavid took second in the long jump Friday on the team’s second day of competition at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field. McDavid leaped to a distance of 7.22m (23-8.25) on his third attempt.  

Also in the field events, Mykhail Chambers tied for 10th in the high jump with a distance of 2.00m (6-6.75).

Jamilah Middlebrooks, Christina Pensock, Monique Pate and Kamilah Bakari teamed up to run the 4×200-meter relay, and logged a time of 1:42.90 in the event.

The Yellow Jackets wrap up action Saturday at the Penn Relays, beginning at 4:10 p.m. as Rachel Hammond, Carolina Kissel, Laura Serres and Morgan Jackson are slated to run the 4×800-meter relay.

The foursome of Cole Jackob, Zack Fanelty, Jeremy Greenwald and Brandon Lasater will take to the track to race in the men’s 4×800-meter relay at 4:40 p.m.
