THE FLATS – Georgia Tech DB Lance Austin will be featured on Thursday night’s editions of ESPN SportsCenter as the “Big Man on Campus” for Week 8 of the college football season.
ESPN reporter Jeannine Edwards traveled to the school’s campus in Atlanta to take a look at a day in the life of Austin a few days after the “Miracle on Techwood Drive,” Austin’s 78-yard return of a blocked field goal that propelled the Yellow Jackets to a shocking win over Florida State.
The feature will debut in the 6 p.m. ET edition of SportsCenter and re-air in other editions of the program throughout the evening.
The “Big Man on Campus” feature is new on SportsCenter for this year’s college football season. Other players who have been featured include Tanner Mangum, BYU; Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma; Joe Yearby, Miami; Vad Lee, James Madison; Jared Goff, California; Carl Nassib, Penn State; and Francis Owusu, Stanford.
