Kickoff Times Set for First Three Football Games

June 28, 2004

Georgia Tech’s season opening football game against Samford on Saturday, Sept. 4 will kick off at 1 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field.

Tech’s next two games are on the road, including a Sept. 11 date at Clemson, which will kick off at 8 p.m. at Clemson Memorial Stadium and will be televised by ABC-TV.

The third weekend of the season has the Yellow Jackets at North Carolina on Saturday, Sept. 18 in a game that will not be televised and will kick off at 6 p.m. at Kenan Memorial Stadium.

Along with the Tech-Clemson game, which will be shown on ABC on a “split national” basis, the Jackets also will appear on national television on ESPN on Thursday, Oct. 28 against new Atlantic Coast Conference member Virginia Tech. That game is slated for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at Bobby Dodd Stadium/Grant Field.

Times and television coverage for Tech’s remaining games are to be determined and likely will be announced 12 days prior to each game.
