Julienne McKee Earns First Team All-American Honors At NCAA Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Junior Julienne McKee placed eighth in the triple jump Saturday night at the 2013 NCAA Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Complex to earn first team NCAA All-American honors.

The Marietta Ga. native, set a season-best and landed one of the top-five distances in Georgia Tech program history with a leap of 13.05m (42’9.75”).

Andrea Geubelle of Kansas took first with a triple jump of 14.18m (46’6.25”). San Diego State’s Shanieka Thomas placed second (13.82m; 45’4.25”) and Florida’s Ciarra Brewer rounded out the top three (13.69m; 44’11”).

Tech kicks off its outdoor season this weekend March 15-16 in Athens, Ga. for the Georgia Relays.
