Yee’s Summer Blog

BEIJING – Redshirt junior Jen Yee was 2-for-3 with a triple, run scored and three RBI while former Tech stand-out Caitlin Lever went 2-for-3 with two runs scored as Canada breezed past The Netherlands 9-2 Wednesday morning to remain undefeated in Olympic pool play. The Canadians will now face Team USA (2-0) tonight at midnight (ET). The game can be seen live on CNBC-HD.

It was a scoreless game until Yee came up with the bases loaded and two outs in the third inning. She gave the Canadians all the offense they would need with a bases-clearing triple over the right fielders head.

Lever added two more hits and two runs scored following up her 2-for-2 performance in Canada’s opener against Chinese Taipei.
