• Georgia Tech baseball begins a key part of its ACC schedule this week with the first of back-to-back series on the road, beginning at Virginia Tech on April 14-16.
• The Jackets own a 42-20 all-time advantage against the Hokies, dating back to 1980, including 12-straight weekend series in favor of Georgia Tech.
• Tech has gone 2-4 in its last two weekend series against top-15 opponents, including against then-No. 13 North Carolina when Tech had to play the three-game series in 24 hours due to inclement weather.
• Tech got back on track Tuesday by avenging an earlier extra-inning loss to Auburn when Jackson Finley hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 10th.
• Where Tech has excelled is at the plate, ranking No. 2 in the ACC in average (.319) with seven .300 hitters in the lineup: Kristian Campbell (.459), Jake DeLeo (.401), Angelo Dispigna (.364), Finley (.343), Jadyn Jackson (.338) and Stephen Reid (.321).
• Just in ACC play, Tech is leading the league as one of only two teams hitting .300, hitting .311 overall.
• Campbell has been red-hot of late and is hitting a team-best .459 overall. In his last 10 games, he’s hit .513 with 20 hits, five doubles and a home run with a .596 on-base percentage.
• Also hitting .400 is DeLeo (.401), who is top 10 in average, doubles (14), hits (57), home runs (11), total bases (106) and slugging (.746).
• Leading the team in power has been Finley, who has launched 12 home runs. He ranks top 10 in the ACC in doubles (12), home runs, RBI (39), slugging (.746) and total bases (85).
• Closer RHP Terry Busse continues to be one of the top closers in the country, ranking fifth nationally and second in the ACC with seven saves, in addition to a 1.96 ERA.
