THE FLATS — Georgia Tech men’s tennis defeated in-state rival Kennesaw State, 6-1, on Friday night to bring their record to 4-2 on the season.
After the Yellow Jackets lost the doubles point, they came storming back, sweeping the Owls in the singles matches.
Standouts from the matches were No. 81 Andrew Li and Chris Yun. Li defeated KSU’s Lucas de Torres Curth, 6-4, 6-0 while Yun took down Gaston Muhammad, 6-1, 6-2.
Phillip Gresk defeated Jose Galvez 6-1, 6-2 and Joseph Gandolfo topped Harvey Maughan, 6-4, 6-3.
No. 69 Cole Gromley also won his match defeating the Owls’ Bryan Triana 6-3, 6-4 in addition to No. 38 Carlos Divar earning a victory over Fermin Calvo Barcelo, 7-5, 4-6, 1-0.
The Jackets remain home for their next match on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 12 p.m. against Georgia State.
