Β THE FLATS –With sophomore Breanna Roper hitting three-for-three and retaining her spot as the conference’s hits leader, Georgia Tech softball (16-10, 1-2 ACC) topped Mercer (10-16) 4-1 on Wednesday night.

SophomoreΒ Cameron Stanford leads off the second inning with a home run over left field to bring the score to 2-0.

JuniorΒ Brooke Barfield came away with the win and four strikeouts.

The Yellow Jackets host Virginia for the first Atlantic Coast Conference home series of the 2019 season. The Jackets open the series on Friday, March 15 at 4 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
