Jackets Shutout Owls, 7-0

KENNESAW, Ga. – Georgia Tech softball (24-19, 5-7 ACC) shutout Kennesaw State (22-20) 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon to close out its five game road trip. Juniors Brooke Barfield and Morgan Bruce combined for seven shutout innings in the circle with Barfield coming away with the win.

In the top of the first, a fielding error by Kennesaw State plated sophomoreΒ Tricia Awald to give Tech the 1-0 edge.

JuniorΒ Drew Puckett follows up with another walk and Webb comes home to move the tally to 4-0.

Tech returns to The Flats for an Atlantic Coast Conference series with Pittsburgh at Mewborn Field. Game one is set for 4 p.m. on Friday, April 12 on ACC Network Extra.
