Jackets Return to Pool to Face Savannah College

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will return to action this Saturday, Jan. 7, to face Savannah College of Art and Design, in the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center. The dual meet is slated for a 1 p.m. start.

“We’re coming off our winter training which we did here in Atlanta,” said head coach Stuart Wilson. “We only have one month until the [Atlantic Coast Conference] Championships, so it’s good to get back into competition with an outside opponent.”

Noting Georgia Tech …
• Junior Tony Burkhardt holds the ACC’s top marks on the one- (374.50) and three-meter boards (387.95).
• Senior All-American Sam Morgan holds the ACC’s fourth and fifth-best times in the 1000- and 1650-yard freestyle events with times of 9:14.83 and 15:28.09.
• Senior Laurissa Prystaj ranks second in the league on the one- (305.95) and three-meter boards (351.60).
Vesna Stojanovska holds top-10 times in the ACC in three different events; 500 free (4:55.52), 100 fly (57.00) and 200 fly (2:04.01).
