Jackets Finish Off Time At NCAA Championship

DES MOINES, Iowa – On the final day of competition for the Georgia Tech Track and Field team, both Julienne McKee and Joanna Wright earned All-American honors as they competed at the NCAA Championships at Drake Stadium on the campus of Drake University.

McKee, a freshman enjoying her first trip to the NCAA Championships, finished 22nd in the triple jump with a leap of 12.30 meters to earn USTFCCCA Honorable Mention All-America Honors.

Wright, who is at the meet for the second time in her career, just missed out on earning points with her ninth place finish in the pole vault. Wright notched a height of 4.10 meters and earned Second Team All-America honors with her leap in her final meet as a Yellow Jacket.
