Jackets and Synovus to Hold a Food Drive FSU Weekend

THE FLATS – Synovus Bank, banking partner for Georgia Tech athletics, is sponsoring a food drive next weekend when the Yellow Jackets’ baseball team takes on sixth-ranked Florida State in a three-game series April 6-8 at Russ Chandler Stadium. Game times for the weekend series at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. Sunday.

All food gathered will be donated to Action Ministries, Inc. Action Ministries mobilizes communities throughout North Georgia to address the challenges of poverty by focusing on hunger relief, housing and education. Needed food items for the drive include canned fruit, canned soup and peanut butter.

Synovus and Action Ministries team members will be giving out raffle tickets to fans that drop off food (one ticket per person, per day for dropping off canned food, different prizes each day) through the second inning. Bins will be located outside gate 3 at the Synovus tent and outside gate 1.

Fans will have the opportunity to win gift cards to local restaurants, Georgia Tech shirts, a two-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Clemson football game package, and two round-trip Delta flights (restrictions apply)!
