GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech freshman Hope Rush has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference co-Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced today. This is the second weekly award for Rush this season.

Rush went 2-0 with a 0.58 in two starts last weekend as the No. 12/9 Yellow Jackets beat No. 20/16 North Carolina in two out of three games for their 11th straight ACC series win. In Sunday’s series finale, Rush threw her first career no-hitter. She walked four and struck out four while retiring 18 of the final 19 batters in Tech’s 5-0 win. A day earlier, Rush allowed one run in a complete-game win over the Tar Heels as well.

Rush also batted .500 on the weekend as she went 4-for-8 with four runs scored, two home runs and five RBI.

Rush and the Yellow Jackets will play a doubleheader tonight at Houston as they spend Spring Break in Texas. First pitch of game one is set for 6 p.m. ET. The Yellow Jackets then continue on to College Station for a 7:30 p.m. (ET) game at Texas A&M on Wednesday. Live audio and stats for all three games will be available at www.RamblinWreck.com.
