Hodges Named ACC Baseball Player of the Week

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech freshman Wes Hodges was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week after outstanding performances in four games against Auburn and Rutgers.

The rookie went 10-for-13 (.769) in the four games, helping the Yellow Jackets win two of three games from Rutgers over the weekend. Hodges had at least two hits in all four games, including three doubles. The Ooltewah, Tenn., native walked two times and did not strike out, posting a .765 on base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. He also stole three bases.

For the season, Hodges is Tech’s leading hitter at .413 and has a team-high 12 RBI.
