Hickey Advances to Singles Final at FSU Invite

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Noelle Hickey, a freshman on Georgia Tech’s women’s tennis team, has advanced to the finals of the Garnet Singles Draw at the 2007 FSU Invitational, which is being hosted by Florida State University this weekend.

Hickey defeated Kansas’ Kunigunda Dorn, 6-1, 6-0, in her opening round match and notched a 6-4, 6-1 victory against Florida International’s Liset Brito to advance to Sunday’s final against Florida State’s Katie Rybakova.

The Yellow Jacket freshman currently stands at 7-2 in singles play in her first fall campaign, and 3-1 against ranked opponents.
