Getting to Know <i>Noelle Hickey</i>

ATLANTA – Yellow Jacket tennis fans can get to know members of the 2008 team over the next few weeks by visiting Ramblinwreck.com on a regular basis. This week, freshman Noelle Hickey gives us some details about herself. The Hackensack, N.J. native is currently 16-7 on the season in singles and has a 16-8 doubles record.

Nickname: Elle

Favorite meal: Sushi, followed by dessert (which is, of course, the most important part of any meal!)

Favorite thing about Georgia Tech: The location

Dream job: Professional tennis player or sports agent/lawyer

What I miss the most, being away from home: Support and friends

What I miss the least about being away from home: Rules

Player on the team that is most like me: Noone! I try to be as awesome as possible

Top reason that I chose to attend Georgia Tech: Women’s tennis!

My major: Management/Public Policy

Pets: I don’t have any.

Favorite sport to play, aside from tennis: Ultimate Frisbee!

Favorite sport to watch, aside from tennis: Ping-Pong…no,no, GEORGIA TECH FOOTBALL!!!

Favorite Atlanta restaurant: Any place, as long as my teammates or friends are there

Last movie I watched: Juno

Favorite movies: “Juno” and “Fear”

Favorite song on my ipod: Get Buck in Here

Sibling: Sister Bethany, 20

Favorite subject at Tech: History or any Legal/Law classes

Best board game: Catch Phrase – DreamTeam’08 includes myself, Amanda McDowell and Kirsten Flower

Favorite WTA player: Justine Henin. I love her style. She can play from anywhere on the court, and she also proves that you don’t have to be tall to be the best player in the world!
