Getting the Most from Off-Season Workouts

Georgia Tech has spent the summer and the early part of fall semester honing their skills and improving their strength and conditioning, ready to get on the floor next week for official pre-season practice for the 2021-22 season. The Yellow Jackets return five of their top seven scorers from the team that won Tech’s first ACC Championship in 28 years and played in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 11 years.

There is plenty of experience on the roster, led by ACC Tournament MVP Michael Devoe, the top three-point shooter in the conference, senior forward Jordan Usher, senior guard Bubba Parham and senior forward Khalid Moore, who have combined for 247 career collegiate starts. Tech also returns junior guard Kyle Sturdivant and junior center Rodney Howard, who played significant roles off the bench last season. The three-man freshman class of Dallan “Deebo” Coleman, Miles Kelly and Jalon Moore was ranked No. 28 in the country, and the Jackets also get help from transfer guard Deivon Smith.
