Georgia Tech's Kristi Miller Earns ACC Women's Tennis Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech’s Kristi Miller was tabbed Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week after posting a pair of singles victories over ranked opponents and a doubles win over the 12th-ranked team in the nation.

Miller registered wins over No. 89 Blair DiSesa of Rice (5-7, 6-4, 1-0) and No. 104 Elsa O’Riain of Harvard (3-6, 7-6 (6), 1-0) in singles play to lead the Yellow Jackets. She also partnered with Alison Silverio for an upset victory over Alabama’s Stephenson/Bentley, ranked 12th nationally in doubles, 8-4. In singles action against the Crimson Tide, the freshman from Marysville, Mich. dropped a three-set heart break to No. 8 Robin Stephenson at the number one singles flight. Miller claimed the first set 7-5, but could not hold off Stephenson who came back to claim sets two and three, 6-2, 6-3, respectively.

Miller and the Yellow Jackets are back in action this weekend as they travel to Nashville, Tenn. to face Vanderbilt on Saturday, February 26 at 12:00 pm.
