Georgia Tech Women's Basketball Preseason Diary -- Oct. 25

Oct. 25, 2005

by Stephanie Higgs

Today we began the first practice of the week. I must admit it was really intense or should I say Coach Jo was and our team fed off of her energy. We broke up into our teams and started our warm up drills. This was my first day back to practice since last Thursday and I was excited to be back on the court. As we are approaching the first game of the season Coach Jo is really emphasizing on doing the little things such as setting and reading screens as well as going hard all the time. I think the most exciting thing to keep in mind for the entire team is to know that we are constantly improvinig everyday. Today was mostly focused on making good decisions with the ball and to refrain from turning the ball over. Overall I think our intensity was good and each day I can honestly say, we as a team got better.
