Georgia Tech-Virginia Baseball Game Rained Out

April 15, 2007

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Georgia Tech-Virginia series finale has been cancelled due to rainy conditions in the Charlottesville area.

The Yellow Jackets and Cavaliers split the first two games of the series, and were scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, but heavy rainstorms saturated Charlottesville overnight and continued throughout Sunday morning, making the field unplayable.

The Yellow Jackets return to action this week when they host the Georgia Bulldogs Wednesday evening at Russ Chandler Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on a TAPE DELAY basis on SportsSouth.
