After scoring three points in the first two games against the Warriors, Shumpert has added 8.6 points per game, including two rebounds and 18 minutes of action. The Rockets tied up the series at two apiece after losing the two games of the series, and now trail 3-2 in the series after falling 104-99 on Wednesday night. The Rockets’ next game is Friday night at 9 p.m. in Houston.
Okogie and the Minnesota Timberwolves finished the regular season in 11th with a record of 36-46. Okogie recently joined the NBA TV crew, where he shared some tips on how James Harden likes to bump his defenders to obtain space in preparation for the step back
Derrick Favors finished the season averaging 11.8 points per contest to go along with 7.4 rebounds. The Jazz lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs to the Houston Rockets, 4-1, after finishing the regular season with a 50-32 record. Favors also helped the Jazz finish with one of the best home records turning in a 29-12 record while at home.
Thaddeus Young finished his postseason run averaging 10.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Young and the Pacers and fell at the hands of the Boston Celtics in four games. For his career, he has averaged 11.1 points per game in the playoffs.
Morrow will join the likes of Josh Smith, Will Bynum on the Bivouac squad, and will be coached by Reggie Theus. The Big3 looks to a new broadcast partner in CBS and will add four new teams, including the Bivouac team.
Zachery Peacock (6’8”-C-87, graduated ’10, plays pro in France) led JL Bourg Basket to a victory over the closely-ranked Chalons-Reims (21-11) 102-96 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA on Tuesday night. He was MVP of the game. Peacock scored 23 points and added 3 passes in 23 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. JL Bourg Basket (28-4) is placed second in the Jeep ELITE ProA. It was his team’s 12th consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It’s Peacock’s fourth season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Peacock averages 17.7ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.9apg, and 1.2spg.
James White (6’8”-F-93, graduated ’16, plays in Bulgaria) contributed to Beroe‘s victory against the closely-ranked Balkan (16-8) 85-81 in the Bulgarian NBL in Wednesday night’s game. White scored 10 points and added 3 passes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BC Beroe (10-2) is placed first in the NBL. It was his team’s third consecutive victory in a row. White has relatively good stats this year 10.4ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg in 14 games he played so far.
Charles Mitchell (6’8”-F/C-93, graduated ’16, currently in Argentina), who plays in the Argentinian La Liga could not help Ferro (23-13) to beat Obras Basket (22-14). Mitchell scored 7 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 32 minutes. Ferro was defeated 77-70 in a derby game by the lower-ranked Obras Basket (#3). There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It’s Mitchell’s first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Mitchell averages 16.1ppg, 8.9rpg, and 1.6apg.
Ben Lammers (6’10”-C-95, graduated ’18, plays in Spain) contributed to a RETAbet BB‘s victory against one of the league’s weakest teams Barca II (9-25) 84-76 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night’s game. He recorded 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 19 minutes. RETAbet Bilbao Basket (24-10) is placed second in the LEB Gold. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Lammers has relatively good stats this season 10.1ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.1bpg, and 1.1spg.
Adam Smith (6’1”-PG-92, graduated ’16, currently in Italy), who plays in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) was not able to secure a victory for Orasi RAV (13-17) in their last game. Despite Smith’s very good performance, the ninth-placed Orasi RAV was badly defeated 92-76 at home by the second-ranked Benfapp CdO in the East group. He was the top scorer with 22 points. Smith also added 5 assists. Smith has very impressive stats this year 24.0ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.9apg and 1.1spg in 33 games.
Josh Heath (5’11”-PG-94, graduated ’17, plays pro in Turkey) couldn’t help Ankara D.S.I. (10-20) in their game last Sunday. Despite Heath’s very good performance, Ankara D.S.I. was badly defeated 118-100 in Karesi by the second-ranked Spor. He was the top scorer with 21 points. Heath also added 7 passes in 30 minutes. This season Heath has very high stats. He averages 16.2ppg, 3.7rpg, 6.2apg, and 2.2spg.
