Young had a big night against the Wizards adding four rebounds, three assists, and one steal to go along with his 22 points. Young’s big night helped seal a 119-112 win for the Pacers. For the season, he has averaged 12.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
Shumpert has missed the Houston Rockets first two games after the All Star Break due to a knee strain but has been cleared to play on Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks. For the season, Shumpert is averaging 8.6 points per game, helping the Rockets sit in the fifth spot in the Western Conference.
Favors scored 24 points and added 11 rebounds to go along with two assists and three blocks in an overtime loss to the Thunder on Friday night. He has averaged a steady 11.2 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per contest. The Jazz are currently in the sixth spot in the West, winning six of their last 10 games.
Josh Okogie and the Minnesota Timberwolves are sitting as the 11th seed in the competitive Western Conference. In their last 10 games the Timberwolves have won four games. Among rookies Okogie ranks 14th in points (388) averaging 7.6 points per game. He also ranks 6th in steals, among rookies with a total of 51.
CBSSports.com reported before Christmas that Marcus Georges-Hunt underwent knee surgery and would miss extended playing time for the Maine Red Claws in the G League, though there has been very little reported about it. Georges-Hunt had averaged 13.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals over 36 minutes per game in nine games for the Red Claws.
