THE FLATS – Georgia Tech baseball has earned a No. 2 seed in the Nashville Regional for the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament, the NCAA Baseball Committee announced Monday.
The Yellow Jackets (29-23) will join Vanderbilt, Indiana State, and Presbyterian.
The ACC Coastal Division Champions, Georgia Tech will make its 33rd appearance in the NCAA Tournament and second-straight since 2019 (no tournament was held in 2020).
The 17th-ranked Jackets are 73-65 (.529) all-time in the NCAA Tournament and is 65-54 (.546) all-time in the first-round, Regional action.
Georgia Tech will play its first game of the Nashville Regional against Indiana State on Friday, June 4. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and WREK 91.1 FM.

Regional Notes:
- Georgia Tech will head to Hawkins Field in the postseason for the second time ever, going 3-2 in 2013 to be the regional runner-up;
- Georgia Tech has played only Vanderbilt in this regional previously, owning a 3-1 record;
- All-time, Georgia Tech is 3-0 against Indiana State (last meeting in 2015), 8-2 against Presbyterian (last meeting in 2015), and 59-36-1 against Vanderbilt (last meeting in 2013).
