Georgia Tech Athletics Takes On Finals Week

Dec. 9, 2016

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech Athletics came together to support its student-athletes as they head into finals week on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Athletic Association joined the campus community in the finals kick-off event, Freshman First, on Wednesday afternoon. Faculty and staff lined Yellow Jacket Alley, cheering on the freshmen and providing words of encouragement as they walked by before their first finals week. The afternoon was complete with words of inspiration from institute president G.P. “Bud” Peterson and a pep talk from Georgia Tech head football coach Paul Johnson. Chick-Fil-A and Waffle House provided fuel for the students.

On Thursday, Georgia Tech Athletics provided the student-athletes with a stress-free evening, hosting the Pancake Jam. Student-athletes were treated to massages and a pancake dinner served by Athletic Association staff.
