Fredrick to Transfer from Tech

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech freshman Zam “Buck” Fredrick has asked for and received his release to seek a transfer to another institution, head coach Paul Hewitt said Tuesday.

Fredrick, a 6-0 guard from St. Matthews, S.C., averaged 1.6 points and 0.8 assists in 19 games for the 20-12 Yellow Jackets last season, backing up junior all-conference player Jarrett Jack and senior Will Bynum at the point guard position.

“We wish Zam all the best in the future,” said Hewitt.
