Ford Leads Tech on Day One of Clemson Opener

CLEMSON, S.C. – Freshman David Ford clocked a time of 8.29 in the 60-meter high hurdles hurdles to advance to the finals to lead the Georgia Tech men’s track and field team at the Clemson Opener on Friday night.

Leading Tech in the men’s 5,000 meters was junior Blake Fertitta and sophomore Masato Kan. Fertitta finished seventh with a time of 16:46.14, while Kan tallied a fifth-place finish with a time of 16:28.84.

The Clemson Opener will conclude on Saturday and will begin at 11 a.m.
