Football Notebook: GT's TaxSlayer Bowl Club Seats Sold Out

TAXSLAYER BOWL TICKETS AND TRAVEL INFORMATION

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech’s allotment of club seats for the 2016 TaxSlayer Bowl are sold out, Georgia Tech athletics announced on Tuesday.

Tickets from Georgia Tech’s allotment of $85 lower-level seats still remain and can be purchased online at togetherweswarm.com/bowl. Tickets in the official Georgia Tech student section also still remain and can also be purchased online at togetherweswarm.com/bowl. Tickets are available to current Tech students for just $40 apiece, a savings of $45 per ticket (limit two per student).

Yellow Jacket fans are urged to support Georgia Tech and assure themselves of the the opportunity to sit and travel with other Tech fans by purchasing tickets and official GT travel packages at togetherweswarm.com/bowl.

For fans that have already purchased tickets through the Georgia Tech athletics ticket office, those tickets are expected to be delivered this week.

Georgia Tech (8-4, winner of five of its last six games) makes its 19th bowl appearance in the last 20 seasons on Saturday, Dec. 31 when it squares off against Kentucky (7-5, winner of seven of its last 10 games) in the 72nd-annual TaxSlayer Bowl (formerly known as the Gator Bowl) at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN.

GEORGIA TECH TO DONATE TAXSLAYER BOWL TICKETS TO MILITARY: Through a partnership with the Veteran Tickets Foundation, Georgia Tech athletics is donating TaxSlayer Bowl tickets to current and former U.S. military members and their families.

YELLOW JACKETS RETURN TO PRACTICE: After a five-day break for final exams, Georgia Tech football returned to the practice field on Tuesday in preparation for the Dec. 31 TaxSlayer Bowl versus Kentucky.

The Yellow Jackets will practice eight times in the next nine days before breaking for the holidays on Wednesday, Dec. 21. The team will resume practice on Tuesday, Dec. 27 and arrive in Jacksonville later that day.
