Five Jackets Sign NFL Free Agent Contracts

May 2, 2003

Five former Georgia Tech football players have signed NFL free agent contracts and are attending mini-camps this weekend.

All-Atlantic Coast Conference linebacker Recardo Wimbush has signed with the hometown Atlanta Falcons.

Two players are in camp with the world champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in cornerback Marvious Hester and tight end Will Heller.

All-ACC wide receiver Kerry Watkins has signed with the New England Patriots, and all-ACC placekicker Luke Manget is with the New Orleans Saints.

Those five join a pair of free agents in the Canadian Football League in all-ACC punt returner Kelley Rhino, who signed with the Montreal Alouettes, and offensive guard Raymond Roberts-Blake, who joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
