THE FLATS – Georgia Tech football’s 2022 home finale versus Miami (Fla.) will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and be televised regionally on the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Regional Sports Network (RSN), which includes Bally Sports South in Georgia.
Georgia Tech and Miami will renew their ACC Coastal Division rivalry for 27th time with the winner set to break a 13-13 tie in the all-time series. The Yellow Jackets have won two of the last three matchups with the Hurricanes overall and at Bobby Dodd Stadium, including a 27-21 triumph in Miami’s last visit to The Flats in 2018.
In addition to being the Jackets’ 2022 home finale, the Nov. 12 contest versus Miami will serve as Georgia Tech’s annual Senior Day, honoring the Yellow Jackets who are playing in their final game at Bobby Dodd Stadium, as well as Heroes Day, honoring the military, first responders and veterans that protect our nation and community. Georgia Tech’s Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) will also hold its 22nd-annual Michael Isenhour Toy Drive to benefit the Atlanta Children’s Shelter during the upcoming holiday season.

Before Georgia Tech returns home to face Miami, it concludes a two-game road trip on Saturday at Virginia Tech. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. and the game will also be televised regionally on ACC RSN (Bally Sports South in Georgia).
Competitive Drive Initiative
In a unified endeavor, Georgia Tech, the Georgia Tech Foundation, Georgia Tech athletics and the Alexander-Tharpe Fund have come together to accelerate funding for student-athlete scholarships with the launch of the Competitive Drive Initiative. The initiative kicks off with the Accelerate GT Match Program, where any new gift to the A-T Fund’s Athletic Scholarship Fund made through Dec. 31 will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Georgia Tech Foundation, up to $2.5 million. Should Accelerate GT reach its $2.5 million fundraising goal, the matching gift would result in a $5 million impact for Georgia Tech athletics.
