Georgia Tech r-So. DL Jordan Domineck was named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week for the third time in his career after becoming only the third NCAA Division I FBS student-athlete since 2000 to record a sack, three tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and a fumble retturn for touchdown in a single game in last week’s 45-17 win over Kennesaw State.

• Georgia Tech opens a stretch of eight-straight conference games on Saturday when it visits long-time rival and six-time-defending ACC champion Clemson.
• Both teams come into their ACC opener with 1-1 records, following closes losses in their season openers with romps last weekend.
• For the second-straight week, Tech outgained its opponent by more than 100 yards in last Saturday’s 45-17 rout over visiting Kennesaw State. Clemson also overwhelmed an in-state NCAA Division I FCS opponent last week, topping visiting South Carolina State, 49-3.
• It’s the 87th all-time meeting for Georgia Tech and Clemson, which are separated by just 121 miles on Interstate 85. Clemson is Georgia Tech’s fourth-most common all-time opponent, behind only Georgia (114 meetings), Auburn (92) and Duke (88).
• The Tech-Clemson rivalry dates back to 1898 and the Yellow Jackets officially hold a commanding 50-33-2 advantage in the all-time series*.
• In last Saturday’s win over Kennesaw State, Georgia Tech r-Fr. QB Jordan Yates threw four touchdown passes (the most ever by a Yellow Jacket in his first-career start), two of which were hauled in by Sr. WR Kyric McGowan (who has caught three TD passes in his first two games after transferring to Tech from Northwestern).
