Eubanks Moves On to JSM Challenger Quarterfinals

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Georgia Tech men’s tennis junior Christopher Eubanks moved on to the quarterfinals of the JSM Challenger in Champaign, Ill. with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 rout of Sekou Bangoura (USA).

Eubanks came out to a strong start, never trailing in the set as he topped the ATP’s No. 229-ranked singles player 6-1 in the first set. In the second set, Bangoura utilized four aces to take the second set 3-6 and force a third. Eubanks maintained his composure and bounced back from the second set loss to claim the match with a 6-1 victory in the third set.

Eubanks advanced to the quarterfinals of the challenger with the win. He will play No. 204 Michael Mmoh (USA) in the next round.
