Cory Vance Named ACC Pitcher of the Week

Vance led Georgia Tech to a 7-4 win over 7th-ranked Clemson on Friday, April 28.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (May 2) – Georgia Tech’s Cory Vance was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week after a strong performance against Clemson last weekend.

The southpaw led Georgia Tech to a 7-4 win over 7th-ranked Clemson on Friday night. A native of Vandalia, Ohio, Vance tossed seven innings, limiting the Tigers to two earned runs on seven hits while registering eight strikeouts. Vance now has a 9-2 record on the season including a 6-1 record versus ACC opponents.

The weekly conference honor was the third such award for Vance this season, the most for any pitcher in the ACC.
