Clasen Captures 500m at MT Christmas Invitational

MURPHEESBORO, Tenn. – Junior Hunter Clasen took the top spot in the finals of the 500m to lead the Georgia Tech men’s track and field team at the Middle Tennessee State Christmas Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Clasen won the 500m with a time of 1:03.77, beating out second place finisher Kendall Gregory of Western Kentucky who crossed the finish line in 1:03.94.

In other action on the day, Perron Jones finished ninth in the finals of the 55m dash finishing in 6.53, while teammate Michael Simms finished 12th in 6.61.

The Yellow Jackets are now idle until Jan. 8th when they take part in the Clemson Invitational.
