Chris Eubanks Wins Mallorca Championships

CALVIA, SPAIN – Former Georgia Tech men’s tennis star, Chris Eubanks, won the 2023 Mallorca Championships on Saturday for his first career ATP Tour title. Eubanks defeated fourth-seeded and No. 43 Adrian Mannarino, 6-1, 6-4.

The Atlanta, Ga., native reached the title match after winning a three-set semifinal thriller on Friday against Lloyd Harris, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (9), fighting off five match points and digging out of a 0/40 hole serving at 4-5.

Eubanks made his run to the semifinal defeating Alex Michelsen (round 32), Ben Shelton (round 16) and Arthur Rinderknech (QF).

The former Georgia Tech standout turned professional in 2017 after a storied collegiate career. He was a two-time All-American and twice named ACC Player of the Year. He earned a wild card entry into the 2017 Atlanta Open and reached the quarterfinals for his first two ATP singles victories.

Eubanks entered the Mallorca Championships ranked No. 77 and is projected to soar to No. 43 in the world. Eubanks returns to the courts at Wimbledon, facing Thiago Monteiro in the first round.
